This exhibit represents group art projects completed by students with
disabilities who participated in Brevard County's VSA arts programs during the 2004 - 2005
school year.   Studies of animals and their habitats integrated with arts activities make
learning connections for children who may have difficulty learning through traditional methods.
Most of the artwork is for sale and includes a white mat with either a goldtone or silver metal
frame.   A donation of $250 is requested with a portion of the money going to the
teacher for classroom supplies and a portion going to VSA arts for support of its programs.
VSA arts programs help people with disabilities develop learning skills, nurture independence
and self-worth and enhance well-being in every area of life.   For all people, arts make
a difference...providing critical tools for learning in all academic disciplines while engaging
the human spirit, exciting the imagination, and sparking intellect.
VSA arts of Florida-Brevard is sponsored locally by Brevard Achievement Center, a non-profit
organization, and is supported in part by the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners
through Brevard Cultural Alliance Inc., Brevard County School Board and Florida Diagnostic
Learning Resource Systems (FDLRS/East), Brevard County Parks and Recreation, United Way of Brevard, VSA arts of Florida
and other organizations, businesses and individuals.
